Log-a-Dog is made by Magician Labs. This policy explains how the app handles information while you use it.
Privacy contact: magicianlabsdev@gmail.com
Dog log details, such as dog name, breed, encounter date, ratings, friendship progress, achievements, and stats.
Dog photos if you choose to take or select a photo.
Approximate encounter location when you use location features to place a dog pin on the map.
The app only uses the camera, photo picker, and location features when you choose to use those features. Log-a-Dog does not need background location and should not track you when the app is closed.
Please avoid including people, faces, licence plates, addresses, private property details, or other sensitive details in dog photos.
Dog logs and photos are stored in app storage on your device. They remain there until you delete individual dogs or encounters, clear app storage through your operating system, or uninstall the app.
After you accept the privacy notice, the app may send privacy-safe usage events to Firebase Analytics. Examples include app opened, tab changed, dog logged, photo added, achievement unlocked, level up, menu opened, sign-in status, sound toggled, and ad display status.
Analytics events are designed not to include dog names, owner names, notes, photos, exact GPS coordinates, diagnostic stack traces, or your Google account email address.
The app may save a small local diagnostics log on your device to help troubleshoot problems. This can include technical errors, the app version, platform, screen name, and browser or WebView details. It is not automatically uploaded. You choose whether to copy and share a diagnostics report.
The app may use third-party services needed to operate features, including Google Firebase for authentication, analytics and cloud save, Google Sign-In and Google Play services for Android account and device services, Google AdMob for ads, Google Play Billing for ad-free purchases, and map or image services for map tiles and breed images. These providers may process technical data such as device information, app activity, IP address, account identifiers, purchase status, and network requests according to their own policies.
Google sign-in is optional. If you sign in, Firebase Authentication and Google Sign-In may provide the app with basic account details such as your Firebase user ID, display name, email address, profile image URL, provider, and sign-in status. The app uses this to show account status and prepare account-based features.
Signing in lets you use cloud save. Dog log data can sync to your account so it can be restored on another signed-in device. Dog photos remain on your device in this version.
Log-a-Dog can sync dog log data with Firebase Cloud Firestore when you sign in. Dog photos remain on your device in this version. Log-a-Dog may show ads through Google AdMob. A one-time ad-free purchase is available through Google Play Billing. If you purchase ad-free, Google Play processes the payment and Log-a-Dog stores an ad-free entitlement on your device.
Magician Labs does not sell your personal information. Data may be processed by service providers to provide app functionality, analytics, security, troubleshooting, or legal compliance.
The app stores dog log data on your device and can sync dog log data to your signed-in account. Network services should use secure connections where supported. No app or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
You can delete individual dogs and encounters inside the app. Those changes are included in the next cloud sync when cloud save is active. You can also remove app data by uninstalling the app or clearing app storage through Android. You can sign out of Google sign-in inside the app. Account data held by Google or Firebase is handled by those services according to their own policies.
Log-a-Dog is not designed for children under 13. Younger users should only use the app with permission and supervision from a parent or guardian.
This policy may be updated as the app changes. The updated version will be shown in the app and published where required.
